Puma Punku

Puma Punku is a set of ruins located in Bolivia believed to be around 14,000 years old, although they are not well known outside of archaeologist circles. These stones attract two seemingly opposite groups however; archaeologists and proponents of what has most recently been called the ancient astronaut theorists.

The ruins that have survived the ravages of time are believed to be part of the Puma Punku pyramid, a temple that is thought to have stood at least 56 feet tall. It is located in Tiahuanaco, near Lake Titicaca, a region associated with pre-Incan culture; it currently rests upon a plateau that is 13,000 feet high; some archaeologists think the complex once served as a port to Lake Titicaca (this group insists the region was once at water level) while others believe the temple may have been built for worshipping the creation god. But the fact is there is no authoritative evidence either way.

Although the structure its self is incredible, the real mystery lies in how Puma Punku was built in the first place. Many of the blocks used for construction weighed 200 tons, with one even weighing in at nearly 450 tons!  After all, the wheel had supposedly not even been invented prior to the construction, much less other tools that would have been needed for the job.

Regardless, when the stones were brought to the site; perhaps even more impressive than the transportation feat, are the exact cuts they made in the stones, they are 1 cm deep and not even one millimeter off from edge to edge. They also cut the stones in such a perfect way that they would be assembled like Lego Blocks, which interlocked for the best possible strength, in other words they were cut so precisely that they fit together like puzzle pieces.

Keep in mind as well that the majority of the stones used are made from Diorite, which is often associated with a form of granite stone that can only be cut with diamonds and they were obtained from a quarry located about 10 miles away on the west side of the lake.  Even today there is no known technology that could have transported stones of such massive weight and size.

As a majority, today’s mainstream scientists turn a "blind eye" to Puma Punku and other such structures that are found in various places throughout our world.   Basically, I expect, because they have no clue as to how to explain them!
